Mr. Youssef Abou Zeid achieved his LL.B. at the Faculty of Law of Cairo University, in 1975. He then obtained a Diploma in Private Law , in 1981, and a second Diploma in Criminal Science from the Faculty of Law, , in 1984, from the same University.

Mr. Abou Zeid has more than 35 years of extensive experience in the legal field. He is heading the litigation Department at Zaki Hashem & Partners, where he has handled cases before courts of all natures and degrees and has also represented a great number of heavy weight clients in all sorts of arbitration cases. He is an expert in the preparation of the applications of arbitration, writs of cases, appeals and pleadings and in carrying out all the procedures for the execution of judgments including arbitration awards as well as foreign judgments.  Mr. Abou Zeid is an expert in Private Law, Civil law, Commercial, Banking, Labour, Social Security, and Lease Laws and Commercial Arbitration. He is specialized in drafting all kinds of contracts, including sale contracts (moveable and immovable), gratuitous contracts, lease, employment, commercial agencies, loans, real estate mortgage and commercial mortgage contracts and in following up all the procedures at the Real Estate Department.  Mr. Abou Zeid was the lead lawyer in site acquisitions for one of the largest telecommunication companies in Egypt. Also, he was in charge of the registration of several real-estates owned by foreign entities and embassies.

Mr. Abou Zeid was admitted before the Egyptian Court of Cassation since 1992. He is also a member of the Egyptian Society of International Law, Egyptian Society of Economy and Legislation, Fellow of the Egyptian Society of Taxation and enlisted as an arbitrator at the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA). Mr. Abou Zeid’s working languages are Arabic and English.
