We are proud to announce that we have acted as legal counsel to the Commercial International Bank Egypt and twelve syndicate banks in the groundbreaking EGP 18 billion Syndicated Facility Agreement granted to Telecom Egypt.
CIB acted as the Facility Agent and Initial Mandated Lead Arranger while Banque Misr and the National Bank of Egypt both acted as Initial Mandated Lead Arrangers in collaboration with ten banks participating in this landmark financing.
This Syndicated Facility Agreement positions itself as the largest in the telecommunications sector in Egypt and we are honored to have had a role in this significant milestone that reflects our extensive experience in closing complex financial arrangements.
Our team of lawyers advising CIB and the syndicate banks was led by our Of Counsel Ragia Omran and included Ibrahim Wael, Senior Associate, as well as other capable associates of the Firm - with a scope of work that included drafting the finance documents and negating with the counter party up to the signature of the Agreement.
We congratulate the participating banks and extend our appreciation to their Corporate Finance and in-house Legal teams, as well as to the team of Adsero advising Telecom Egypt.
