Hussein Abu Zarifa

Mr. Hussein Abu Zarifa Senior Associate, has joined ZH&P’s Litigation team in 2015. With a focus on the Labor and Civil Laws, he provides legal advice / legal opinions and handles litigation matters for local and international clients.

With over 4 years of experience, selected examples of the matters he has taken part in include:

  1. Successfully representing Orient International Trading Ltd and Nakhla Tobacco against several employees who requested the compensation of arbitrary dismissal whereby, several cases were refused in 2016 and 2017,2018,2019 and 2020, 2021 while other cases are still in progress.
  2. Split and IPO of MM Group for Trade and Industry (MTI). (2017).
  3. Successfully representing hotels (e.g. Conrad, Grand Hayat,) requesting arbitrary dismissal by some employees. Numerous cases were accepted between 2015 to 2019 2020, and 2021.
  4. Contributing to Labor dispute cases for clients such as: Orient International Trading ltd, Grand Hayat, Savoy Hotel Sharm El Sheikh, Ramses Hilton Hotel, Conrad Cairo Hotel, Carlson Wagon-lit Travel, Meridian Heliopolis hotel, Vodafone, Huawei, Vodafone International Services.
  5. Successfully representing Arab Bank in civil disputes and several cases were refused.

Mr. Abu Zarifa is member of the Egyptian Bar Association and has been admitted before the Court of First Instance since 2015. He had achieved the LL.B from Université Jean Moulin 3 Lyon III jointly with Ain Shams University’s Faculty of Law (French Department) in 2013. In addition to a Certificate of Community Service and Continuing Education Programs received in 2014, he also earned a diploma in Diplomatic and Consular Relations from The Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport in 2014. Furthermore, he is proficient in Arabic, English, and French.
