Zaki Hashem, Attorneys at Law, a leading law firm with strong full-fledged business law practice, is seeking to recruit an experienced professional to join the Firm as a 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫. The successful candidate will be part of the Firm’s Administrative Department and shall report to the Firm’s Administrative Manager.
𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
· 5 – 7 years of proven experience in document control or similar role.
· Fluency in Arabic and English is a must – both written and spoken.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Strong knowledge of Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), IBM FileNet is an added advantage.
· Experience in archiving, coding, and records management.
· Strong understanding of document control processes and practices.
· Proficient typing and editing skills.
· Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, effective communication skills.
· Previous experience in a law firm is preferable.
𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
· Collecting, scanning, and uploading documents following set procedures.
· Managing the flow of documentation within the Firm.
· Organizing and archiving electronic documents and emails.
· Processing and performing data entry as necessary.
· Processing all metadata and inputs into the system.
· Independently performing day-to-day document control activities.
· Managing the archiving system to facilitate efficient retrieval of documents.
· Supporting other departments of the Firm in conducting advance search of electronic files and fulfilling document retrieval requests as required.
· Daily follow-up on documents, templates, and emails uploaded to the archiving system.
· Ensuring safe, quality, and accurate archiving of documents.
· Providing training and guidance on document control processes and archiving system.
· Preparing and presenting reports on document control activities including email archiving status and digital archiving process.
· Conducting regular reviews and document audits.
· Conducting conflict check on new clients.

Zaki Hashem, Attorneys at Law, a leading law firm with strong full-fledged business law practice, is seeking to recruit Associates to join its IP department and team of exceptional Intellectual Property lawyers.
Eligible candidates should be experienced in working with business entrepreneurs to identify strategic IP protection based on the nature of the business through offering tailored action plans to secure the clients’ needs and IP rights. Candidates should also have experience in infringement assessment, exposure to IP litigation matters and border measures practice.
𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
1. LLB in Law from an Egyptian university or its equivalent from a university abroad (equivalency obtained).
2. Minimum of 3 – 6 years of solid practical experience in handling all aspects of IP matters. Any application that does not match the minimum years of practical experience shall not be considered for selection.
3. Excellent English and Arabic proficiency – both written and spoken – is a must.
4. English drafting skill is a must.
5. Proven experience in IP prosecution, enforcement, anti-counterfeiting procedures, infringement schemes, and effective enforcement strategies (including trademarks, patents, industrial designs, copyrights, software and plant varieties). Additionally, proven experience in global trademark and patent portfolio management including IP Foreign prosecution experience in the MENA Region (experience in Europe and Worldwide is a plus).
6. Awareness of franchise and licensing agreements
7. Substantive knowledge of effective case management and investigation as well as drafting legal documents including opinions, contracts, memos, C&D letters, and other documents in Arabic and English.
8. Advanced analytical and issue-spotting skills.
9. Excellent time management, strong written and oral communication and negotiation skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
