Hossam El Habashi, Partner, joined ZH's Litigation Department in 2005 with a special focus on civil code, commercial law, and administrative disputes in front of the administrative courts. He has advised in and conducted research on various disputes related to civil, commercial, real estate, administrative, banking, arbitration, and execution matters. He is well-versed in preparing writs of cases, appeals, complaints, memos, legal claims in the foregoing disputes.

- Successfully wining the case raised against Centamin Egypt regarding a claim raised before the State Council court to request the annulment of the Sukari gold mine concession agreement for the exploration and exploitation of gold granted to Pharaoh Gold Mines NL (2012 / 2023) – as well as handling all of Centamin Egypt’s litigation matters (Ongoing).
- Representing Al Howaidak shareholders of Al Gafton Company in the case filed against the Governorate of the Red Sea regarding the validity of the land purchase agreements of the Company’s lands in Hurghada. (In progress)
- Representing Trans-Mediterranean Tourism Investment Company in the case filed to retrieve USD 5.7 million advanced for the purchase of a land In Hurghada. (2024)
- Representing Vodafone Egypt Telecommunications in the case filed by Telecom Egypt Company to claim an EGP 350 million compensation for international call fees. (2019 – 2021)
- Representing the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in the dispute regarding the USD 35 million loan to Omar Effendi. (2019)
- Representing Vodafone Egypt Telecommunications in the dispute over declaring bankruptcy. (2006 / 2009)
- Representing Ideal Industrial Company (a subsidiary of Electrolux) in the dispute over the claimed invalidity of its privatization. (2012 / 2016)
- Representing Accor Hotels (Egypt) in the dispute over the contract concluded with the Egyptian Railway Authority. (2015)
- Representing Nissan Egypt in the dispute over the annulment of its industrial register. (2014 / 2015)
Hossam is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association since 1999 and was admitted to the Court of Cassation in 2016.
He achieved the LL.B. in 1998 from Cairo University’s Faculty of Law and two Diplomas in Private Law, Commercial Law, and International investments (equivalent to LL.M.) in 2004 from the same Faculty. He also successfully participated in a specialized course in electronic signature and a specialized course in commercial arbitration at the Egyptian International Chamber of Mediation, Conciliation and Arbitration in 2006.
