Anwar Moustafa, Senior Associate, joined the Litigation Department at ZH in 2009. He focuses his practice on corporate governance and contracts – specifically as related to national and international financial transactions. He also specializes in drafting and reviewing banking and non-banking financial contracts, transportation contracts, commercial agency agreements, and distribution contracts.
Anwar also excels in preparing opening statements for appellate and first instance lawsuits and in drafting legal memos on cases related to the finance sector and in commercial cases as related to the Civil Law, Commercial Law, Arbitration Law, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Law, Financial Leasing and Factoring Law, Insurance regulations, Banking Law and Labour Law. He is also noted for conducting legal research and legal consultation to clients and in-house legal departments.
With over 12 years of experience, selected examples of the matters he has contributed to include:
- Participating in drafting contracts related to the dissolution and acquisition of a renowned real estate investment company and its subsidiary companies.
- Participating in drafting and reviewing contracts related to a local car importer and distribution company and its subsidiary companies as related to importing, distributing and exporting Chinese vehicles and spare parts.
- Participating in drafting and reviewing several financial lease contracts amounting to ca. EGP 1.8 billion.
- Representing EFG Hermes Leasing and Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt in different Cases.
He is member of the Egyptian Bar Association since 2012 and was admitted before the Courts of Appeal in 2019. He is proficient in Arabic and English.
Anwar has achieved the LL.B. (English Section) from Beni Suef University, Egypt, in 2011 and the LL.M of International Commercial Arbitration from Assiut University, Egypt, in 2014.
