Zaki Hashem advises on the launch of Antipollution Egypt and strategic Suez Canal waste management agreements

We are proud to have advised V.Group and Antipollution SA - global leaders in environmental sustainable waste management services - on the creation of Antipollution Egypt SAE, as well as on the waste management and services agreements that led to the launch of its operations in Egypt.

In a major milestone, Antipollution Egypt has officially begun providing high-quality port reception facility services to all vessels transiting the Suez Canal, and delivering integrated environmental and marine protection services in one of the world’s most strategic maritime corridors.

Heba El Naggar, Partner, led the structuring and establishment of the joint venture and continues to provide day-to-day legal support on regulatory, licensing, and operational matters critical to the company’s activities in Egypt.

Our team, led by Hossam Hafez, Partner, also advised Antipollution Egypt on a wide range of waste management and services agreements with the Suez Canal Authority, the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone, several Egyptian ports, and other semi-governmental entities.

The team also included Senior Associates Mostafa Elbastawissy, Khalid Al Melegi, and Nour Ossama, as well as Associate Youssef Elhadidy – their support was instrumental across various regulatory and contractual workstreams.
